- The Inara - Empty
PostSubject: - The Inara -   - The Inara - EmptySat Aug 17, 2019 8:21 pm

Among all races, the Inara stand as one of the strangest. Shapeshifters in general, an Inara's natural form is that of a translucent, marine green, gel like body with each cell serving as part of the whole. Humanoid features always seem off, too wide, or too large, in what they copy. As for gender, most simply are inclined to take on whatever gender they feel like during any particular day.

Average Lifespan: 10 years (Per cell)
Average Height: 1', can generally form humanoid form up to around 6'
Average Weight: 140-220 lbs
Diet: Omnivore
Lifeform: Carbon
Language: Cell Transmission, Goo can mimic language they know, but have none of their own.
Homeworld: Inaris
Homeworld Type: Currently rocky, serving as a 'Goo' Sea

Base Physical Force: 6
Base IQ: 40
Fertility: N/A (Cell Division)

Benefits:

Inara start out with One Genetic Upgrade

Initial Powers:

-Deal 5 Corrosive damage to melee attackers. Inara unarmed attacks deal an additional 5 Corrosive damage.
-Inara cannot be harmed with standard firearms that use solid munitions. They are also immune to sonic damage (But still suffer negatives to hit from it). Grenades and explosions stun them for one round, but deal half damage.
-An Inara can fit its body through any small opening that is not airtight.
-An Inara can change their appearance to anything they choose, but always retain a translucent, green, gel like texture.
-An Inara can eat anything other than plastics. When dealing unarmed damage, they gain health back equal to 1d4+Corrosive damage, and gain it as temporary life. If they gain double their max HP as Temporary HP, they must divide, forming a new, sentient Goo. Temp HP is lost after each mission.

Detriments:

-Inara are not immune to elemental damage such as corrosive, Heat, and Cold damage. Nor are they immune to psionic attacks.
-Inara are prone to high heat, and high cold. On high Heat planets, they lose 1 HP, 10 lbs per weight, and 10 Physical Force every hour without water. If any value hits 0, Inara die. As such, they must eat once per hour to negate this effect.
-Cold Environments begin to freeze Inara. Spending an hour, or suffering a cold based attack, removes one action from the Inara. If all actions are removed, they enter into a suspended animation until thawed.
-Inara are considered a major threat. NPCs treat Inara with suspicion, dislike, or fear. After all, the pesky things have been known to just eat tech, cybernetics, and so on.
-The split off organism from any Cell Division shares the same stats as the PC, but is controlled by the DM.
-Inara cannot equip cybernetic upgrades.
