From a planet covered entirely in water, the Merrow people are an evolved piscene people that blur the lines between man and fish. Having deep marine blue skin the Merrow have a sleek, streamlined body with scales as opposed to normal skin, and lack body hair; having red, yellow, or orange fin coloration instead. With webbed hands and elongated finger nails, Merrows are known to be fast swimmers and are capable of delivering a powerful poison attack if threatened. Like many other sentient species, the Merrow evolved to be extremely intelligent, with opposable thumbs for tool manipulation. Differentiated by shallow water species and the deep water species, Merrows have a conquered their watery home planet with adapting to it as opposed to destroying it. Not physically imposing, they stand just under the average Human, and have eyes that are very large but lack lids. Merrow do not sleep, rather they sustain themselves on small periods of inactivity.

Initial Power:
-All Merrow can breath underwater.
-Merrow go into several hours of Torpor, and are considered awake during this time, just not active. As such, Merrow are immune to any effect that causes sleeping.
-Merrow gain the ability to use poison barbs or claws as a melee attack, or a reaction against a melee attack. The attack is considered a Searing Pain Poison.
-While underwater or in zero g environments, Merrows gain advantage to defense against attacks.
Shallow Water-With higher light spectrum, more food, and more light, Shallow Water Merrows are surprisingly adept at hiding and performing ambush attacks. Shallow Water Merrows gain the ability to stealth and blend into their surroundings.
-Shallow Water Merrow gain the ability to change the pigmentation and skin texture to temporarily match that of their surroundings. A Merrow cannot move, and can be detected by any heat differences, but are considered stealthed while in this state.
Deep Water-Deep Water Merrows are blind and durable. They don’t see their surroundings, they sense it through the sounds of their own breathing. Even talking gives them a full view of the surrounding area, gunfire gives them a crystal clear image.
-Deep Water Merrows are blind, making up for it by picking up small sounds. They are considered to have Radar and Motion Sensor upgrade and can see past stealthed units. Inversely, however, sonic attacks against them stun them for one round. They also gain +2 to their starting HP.

-Without having a suit or ship filled with oxygen rich water, or not in oxygen rich water, considered to have a hull breach in outer space environment
