- The Bulor - Empty
PostSubject: - The Bulor -   - The Bulor - EmptySat Aug 17, 2019 6:13 pm

Bulor physiology is surprisingly durable despite seemingly small frames. Their body structure allows them to simply ignore most terrestrial poisons and diseases, and Bulor have been known to go for weeks without feeding. Feeding itself is parasitic, with the Bulor either seducing or subduing their prey, before drinking the prey's blood or flat out eating flesh and organs. The bite of the Bulor themselves is poisonous, causing the host to be paralyzed during the feeding, but fully aware. Should the Bulor wish to reproduce, during feeding, they inject larva into the prey's bloodstream. The larva secretes the same toxin the parent does and, once fully aware, it slowly eats the host from the inside out, emerging as an “infant”. It then consumes the rest of the host while the happy “mother” usually looks on.

Racial Veteran Class

Shadow Knight:
"The best wars won, are the ones that never make the history books."

While the Alliance has the famed Arch Angels, the Bulor have the dreaded Shadow Knights. Trained since birth, the Shadow Knights represent combat through subterfuge. They manipulate things from the darkness, performing sabotage, assassinations, and even deals with the black market. Shadow Knights rarely perform in battle, but it's a fool who believe that they aren't capable of it. With blade or by gun, they are expert markswomen as well as competent in martial artists. But to a Shadow Knight, if things have gotten to the point of physical confrontation, then they've failed at some point; and nothing is more dangerous than a Shadow Knight who feels angry at themselves for allowing things to escalate into combat.

You were born in one of the Noble Houses, either a lesser or greater one. Due to your birth as second or third in line for the head of the household, the matriarch of your home sent you to study at The Imperious, the birthplace of all Bulor Military Officers. You excelled at the training, and started your military career. Whether you quit, or are simply on extended leave, at some point during your military career you were approached and accepted a role within the Shadow Knights. In addition to your other duties, you carried out secret missions to covertly protect your people. Whether or not you are still are a Shadow Knight, or are retired is only known to you, but the training persists.

Requires: Bulor, 10 completed missions

Subterfuge:
The first thing a Shadow Knight trains for is outside of battle. You gain the class skills Cloaking Device, Remote Hacking, and Black Market Contacts. In addition, you may perform stealth actions with a +5 bonus to your Technology or Luck skill, and gain advantage to Persona checks involving making deals.

Wrath of the Shadow Knight:
Just because your strengths are deception and being covert doesn't mean that you can't fight, your combat training is still quite lethal. When becoming a Shadow Knight, you select one gun and one melee weapon. While wielding these, they are considered “Silenced” for all intensive purposes, and deal 1 die higher damage than their listed value. If a Heavy Weapon is used, it is not considered silenced.

Shadow Knight Optional Skills:

Deadly Ambush:
You know that if pushed to combat, the best way to win is through sheer power before they can react. If you trigger an Ambush Scenario, all weapon damage you deal is doubled during the ambush rounds.

Execution Stance:
Your form of fighting is built around killing. You take no prisoners, and expect no quarter given. You may enter your Execution Stance with one action. While in Execution Stance, you gain +2 on your critical range for all weapons, with a 10% chance to cause a Suit Breach without using a called shot. Doing this, however, lowers your Defense stat by 5, although it doesn't affect any Defense increases from your Environmental Suit.
